Questions, answered.

How buying, licences and updates work. If it isn't covered here, just email me.

What does “own it forever” mean?

You buy the app once and the licence never expires. You can keep using it for as long as you like, without a subscription.

What are the 12 months of updates?

Every purchase includes a year of updates from the day you buy: new features, improvements and fixes released in that time. Unless an app's page says otherwise, this is how every app here works.

What happens after the 12 months?

Nothing breaks. You keep using the newest version that was released during your update year, forever. If you want later versions, you can renew updates for another 12 months at a reduced price shown on the app's page. Renewal is always optional, and I never charge you automatically.

Are security fixes included after my year ends?

Yes. Critical security fixes for the version you own stay free, for as long as I still maintain that version.

Do I need an account?

No. You check out with a payment provider, who emails you a receipt, your licence key and a download link. You don't create an account with me, and the site has no login.

How do I get my licence key again?

Use the link in your receipt email to reach the payment provider's customer page, where you can see your key and re-download the app. If you're stuck, email me with the address you bought with.

Which platforms are the apps for?

Every product in the marketplace shows its platforms with an icon: Mac, Linux, Android or the web. A platform marked “soon” isn't available yet. Apps sold through Google Play or another app store follow that store's rules, and any difference in how updates work is stated on the app's page.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 14 days of buying, no questions asked. See the refund policy.

What data do you collect?

As little as possible: no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. The privacy page explains exactly what the site and the payment provider handle.

Where are the release notes?

They'll be listed on the release notes page as updates ship.
